Denali’s surgery appears to have gone well.  I went to visit her and these dogs are AMAZING!!  She was already hoping around and getting up and laying down on her own.  They had to put an Elizabethan collar (aka cone of shame) on her because she was licking.  She was a little out of it, but was trying to fight through all the medications she was on to be her smiley-happy self.

Here’s a non-disturbing picture from tonight:

Nooooooo… Not the cone of shame!!! Denali looks far too happy for that.

Welcome to the Family! Glad to hear the surgery went well. Denali will be amazing you everyday by how well she does. She may be a little tired for the first couple of weeks but she will get better with every minute that passes. Even with the cone of shame, she is one smiley & pretty girl. Keep us posted on her progress.

So glad the surgery went well!!

Despite the cone of shame, that’s one gloriously joyous ‘I’m happy to be alive’ smile.

She did amaze you after all! 🙂
